If you need an interpreter, you can call Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450.

Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) provides a service for non-English speakers needing to communicate with government or community services. TIS is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is accessible from anywhere in Australia for the cost of a local call.  Equal Opportunity Tasmania will accept charges related to translation and interpreting calls from TIS and will arrange an interpreter for face to face meetings as required.
